Jenny Fairweather

Jenny Fairweather, 'Earmarked for demolition', Preston Hall Colony, May 2015

The recurrent theme of my work is absence and implied human presence. I use photographs, monoprints and mixed media (including 3D) to explore this theme. Prints show traces of man on nature, from drawings done on the North Downs and by the Medway. Recent photographs explore buildings that have a history; I try to evoke the atmosphere of abandoned spaces, stimulate the imagination and raise questions in the spectator.

I have a degree in fine art from KIAD (1996)
