Artist’s talk: Gayle Chong Kwan, Union Street, Maidstone, July 2013
“Gayle Chong Kwan (b. 1973 in Scotland) is a London-based artist whose large-scale photographic works, installations, sound works and videos have been exhibited internationally. Chong Kwan works primarily with photography and installation to create fantastical mise-en-scene landscapes and environments out of disturbing arrangements of waste materials, sensory remains and documentary sources.” (Source: the artist’s website)
