Video: Our experiences in Union Street, Maidstone, by Korinna McRobert
For three months during the winter of 2012 / 13, Making Art Work leased a building in Union Street, Maidstone to test how we might use such a space to make and show art
The Union Street project was partially funded by the Arts Council and as part of our evaluation process talented Making Art Work member Korinna McRobert made this short video about our experiences.
It was filmed over the last weekend in the space on our MAKING DAY – an event open to all celebrating what we’d achieved. It shows two installations, one by Cas Holmes called ‘Into the Red‘, an alternative christmas tree for people to hang their wishes onto. The other installation is by artist Nicola Flower titled ‘Never have in your boat a single inessential object‘.
Our final exhibition RED also features.
